How to recover deleted contacts?
If some contacts are missing, they may have been deleted by mistake. You might also have removed them on purpose and later changed your mind. The good news is that Google Contacts keeps deleted entries for 30 days, so you can restore them during that time. To recover your contacts:
1. Sign in to your Google Contacts.
2. On the left side menu, click on “Trash.” (If you’re on mobile, tap the three lines ☰ first to see the menu.)
3. Depending on the number of contacts you wish to recover:
- For a single contact, check the box next to their name.
-
For multiple contacts, check the boxes next to each one.
-
To recover all, click the box at the top to select everything.
4. Click the “Recover” button at the top.
The contacts you choose will be restored to your main contact list.
Note: If you delete something from “Other contacts,” it won’t show up in Trash. But you can still get it back by undoing all changes made in the last 30 days.
